Evernight

I am reading another series. This one is called "Evernight." It's good so far, but I'm only 50 pages into it. It's about this girl, Bianca, who moves to Evernight Academy. On her first morning there she meets Lucas. Not knowing who this stranger is in the woods, Bianca runs away from Lucas. He thinks she's being attacked by someone, which to me kind of raises up a red flag. Why would she be in trouble? Does he know something?! Well on the official first day of school she sees him in the halls and tries to catch up to him. When she finally does, he acts like he doesn't really know her.
Her parents are two teacher's at the school. Her mom is her first period teacher. She is very popular with Bianca's peer's right off the bat. So of course, Bianca starts to get new friends. She's not complaining either. She is very shy and very quiet and likes to keep to herself. So people coming up to her is amazing! She loves it! She doesn't have to do the work of getting up the courage to talk to someone. But while she is in her mother's class, she meets this guy Balthazar More. Well he is "a guy who can actually carry off the name 'Balthazar' without being mocked for all time. Oh him, it looked good. He seemed confident about anything my mother might throw at him but not in an annoying way like most of the guys in the room. Just confident"

My favorite lines (weeks 1-4)

Week1: How big a loser do you have to be to coast into high school popularity on your parents? Still, I couldn't afford to turn my nose up at any acceptance I won, no matter what the reasons were.
That day passed in a haze for me. I drifted in and out of sleep-at least, somethimse it was sleep. Sometimes it was unconsciousness. I couldn't tell the apart any longer.
That was then, this is now.
News flash: that's high school.
Week 2: The cliques had formed within a day, and I was caught exactly in the middle.
Vic stared at us. 'Wait are you guys freaking out about the whole vampire thing?
You saved my life, Lucas,' Balthazar said. 'I guess that I owe you one.'
Lucas's eyes narrowed. 'From where I'm standing, this is a really bad time, period.
Week3: During gym, I get hit in the head with a volley ball and he teacher lets me sit out of class. It's not like I was doing anything other than standing there staring at the net anyway. I prefer to think of it as multi-tasking since I was deep in thought, trying to remember some of my childhood wishes and playing volleyball, even if I wasn't actually hitting the ball with anything but my head.
'Gumballs. And a pony.' I jerk upright. 'Uh-oh.'
If she abandons me on my birthday, just about anything could be fair game, right?
I am so mad at Nicole right now. She should have arrived at least two hours ago, but there's no sign of her. I flip open my phone and send her another text, what must be the twentieth one tonight: Please tell me timmy fell down the well and you're busy rescuing him. Five minutes ago, I sent: Did the birds eat your trail of bread crumbs and now you're lost in the woods? Ten minutes before that, I sent: If you're late because Shia LeBeouf decided to join your dinner, I expect pictorial proof.
Week 4: I'd been waiting for the vampire for years when he walked into the bar.

'Hel-lo,' she said. For somer reason, she always sounded put out, as if a phone call were the last thing on earth she wanted. I know for a fact that wasn't the case.
Bill took the top off the bottle with one finger and took a sip. I tried not to look, failed. Of course he saw my face, and he shook his head. "This is reality, Sookie,' he said. 'I need it to live.' There were red stains between his teeth. 'OF course.' I said, tryin to march the matter-of-fact tone of the bartender.
